Our story

 

Mario Denis Paillé, BA, LL.L., LL.M., CD, IMAQ served in the Canadian Armed Forces from January 1982 to June 2017.

From 1982 to 1992, he served in the field of administration in Ottawa, Montreal and Valcartier. After serving with the United Nations in Iraq and Kuwait following the 1st Persian Gulf War in 1991, he began university studies at the Royal Military College of Canada in 1992, graduated in Politics in May 1995 and was assigned to the Military Police Branch. After receiving his license of civil law from the University of Ottawa in May 2001 and after completing his internship as a defense lawyer with the Gatineau legal aid office in October 2003, he was called to the Barreau du Québec.

As a legal advisor to several units, mainly to the 5th Military Police Regiment in Montreal from 2005 to 2013, as a legal advisor with the NATO forces during the Afghanistan war in in 2006, as a legal trainer for the Congolese armed forces personnel with the United Nations Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2010, through the legal training of Canadian military personnel in Kingston from 2013 to 2015, Maitre Paillé has several strings to his bow.

Maître Paillé retired from the Canadian Armed Forces with the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (Major) and received numerous distinctions such as the Queen Elizabeth II Gold and Diamond Jubilee medals in 2002 and in 2012 for his achievements throughout his prestigious career. In June 2017, he founded his private legal office under the name of MDP Legal Corporation Inc. in the areas of criminal law, military law, administrative law and family law. He now offers mediation services in family, civil and commercial matters, estates and in the workplace areas.

Maître Paillé is also legal adviser and member of the Board of Directors of the non-profit organization “Entraidons-nous”.
